Three songs done by Jam-aican entertainers managed to make it into the February edition of 'Vibe' magazine's 50 greatest duets of all time.
They are: Sean Paul and Vegas' Hot Gal Today, Shabba Ranks and Krystal's Twice My Age and Terror Fabulous and Nadine Sutherland's Action.
Hot Gal Today, from The Biggest Ragga Dancehall Anthems 99, was featured in the number 42 spot, while Ranks' Twice My Age was number 38.
Terror Fabulous and Nadine Sutherland's Action was not only number 19, but also the top dancehall song featured on the list. It outranked Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway's The Closer I Get To You at number 40, Erykah Badu and Common's Love of My Life, number 21, and Tupac and Snoop Dogg's 2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted, number 20.
Nadine in ecstasy
Sutherland was ecstatic when THE STAR broke the news to her about the 13-year-old hit.
"I'm happy to hear that. I'm glad that it came at this time. I'm in shock, awe, and I'm very happy and thrilled. I never knew that and with everything I have been through, it just feels so good," she said.
She spoke of the reaction she has received from the public about Action throughout the years: "Even now people abroad are playing my video for Action. I just want to big up Terror Fabulous, he is one of the best deejays out of Jamaica and I really want some-one who reads this to let him know about the song. His name suits him, he is really 'fabulous'."
Sutherland said she never imagined that the song would be such a hit when she first recorded it.
"It's the funniest thing. I don't think about things before I do it, I just do. Anytime I plan something out, it doesn't go that way, so I just go with the tide. I never really thought about it when I was asked to do it, I just did. Anything that is destined, you can't stop; whatever is for you, no one can take it away," said Sutherland.
Sutherland says next on her plate is her album which will be released in a few weeks.
