Dear Pastor,
Keep up the good work. I am having a problem and I hope you can help me. I have been living in the U.S.A. for seven years. Because I came on the k-1 visa, I had to get married within three months in order to stay. About a year and a half ago, I went to Jamaica. While I was there my wife came and unfortunately, a family member died. My wife said that I should stay for the funeral. I gave her US$400 to buy a new ticket for me; however, I didn't receive it. I called and asked her about it and she told me that she is selling the house we had. I was trapped in Jamaica for two months, until a friend helped me to buy a ticket in order to return to the U.S.
She claimed that the reason she left me in Jamaica was because I refused to stop smoking weed and go to rehab. Pastor, I smoked weed before I met her. We even smoked together for years. However, because she stopped she wants me to do the same. Now, she wants me to give her money to pay her rent and bills. I haven't seen her in a year and a half. I don't even know what her panties look like. I am paying US$120 per week for her insurance and she wants more.
Pastor, do you think I am wrong for not paying her rent etc.? Am I wrong for everything that happened? I would like to know if this woman is a good woman. What should I do? Thank you pastor.

Dear D. D.,
I suggest that you go to see an attorney. If this woman and you are separated and you have no intention of reconciliation, you should set yourself free. The important thing is not whether or not she is a good woman. What is important is that you do everything that is legally right.
