A 21-year-old man charged with carnal abuse was granted bail when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.

Marvin Rowe, a delivery man from a Unity Lane address in Kingston was granted $100,000 bail with one or two sureties by Resident Mag-istrate Lorna Clarke.

It is alleged that Rowe and the 15-year-old complainant were involved in an intimate relationship during December 2006, during which time he reportedly had sex with the complainant. He allegedly had sex with the complainant again on January 31.

His attorney, Hugh Faulkner, in making the bail application indicated that Rowe had a solid defence against the allegations that were made against him. He also said he had no previous convictions.

As conditions of his bail, Rowe was also ordered to surrender all his travel documents, a stop order was also made and he is to report to the Olympic Gardens Police Station, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.

His fingerprints were also ordered taken and the matter is to return to court on March 15.
