It might be the month of February, but its better late than never. Today I want to share with you some of my technology predictions for the year 2007. While I believe that a prediction has nothing do with solely new technologies, but also includes improvements of the current.

I believe that some of the following will occur before the end of 2007:

1.More homes will purchase two gaming consoles...Xbox 360 + Wii...or PS3 + Wii...The Nintendo Wii will be on the shopping list of most individuals.

2. Many more schools in Jamaica will have greater access to the Internet. This is mainly due to the efforts of our government and private sector.

3. Wimax will become very popular. Currently this is only available to business customers and limited residential customers. However, I strongly believe as the adoption grows for this technology, so too will it's reach.

4 GSM EDGE v2.5 will be released by CW to capture more customers on the mobile market. Most persons are stuck with the lower technology of GPRS, and would like to see the implementation of high speed internet on the mobile phones.

5.The high-speed race will pick up more steam from Flow and CW. I guess this one will speak for itself. If you read my last article you will see where CW is upgrading their infrastructure in preparation for this race.

6.8GB USB flash drive. This is the year where flash drives become extremely popular in size and price.

7.Thousands will upgrade to 2007 Office System and Windows Vista. With the release of these products last week, it's only logical for many to jump on the new fever band wagon.

8.A Smartphone will be available around the Q4 2007, that will have features like..(1).FM tuner..(2) 4 megapixel Digital camera...(3) USB slot...(4) 4GB Built-in flash memory...(5) GPS receiver running Windows Mobile.

9. Solid State Hard Drives + flash will become affordable. Already Samsung Electronics is leading the evolution in designing SSD.

10 LCD, SED, Plasma will reduce in cost...(giving me the chance to purchase one),
