Hey, I'm crossing here!

The Editor, Sir:

I have noticed that quite often, pedestrians are in desperate need to cross, but motorists deny them the privilege, even at the pedestrian crossings. I have seen, especially senior citizens and young children, wanting to cross and motorists just speed by.

I would like to see the NWA paints back the pedestrian crossings in white; it should be obvious to the motorists who are approaching it.

Nevertheless, I think motorists could be kind-hearted sometimes and give a little 'bligh', even if the pedestrians aren't at the crossing, especially little children and senior citizens. I am appealing to the relevant authority to please, please, paint back the pedestrian crossings in white.

I am, etc.,
