A preliminary date has been set for the murder trial of Angela Wilson, who is before the court for the death of her common-law husband, Charles Patterson.
When Wilson appeared before RM Lorna Errar-Gayle in the Spanish Town RM Court on Tuesday, the investigating officer said the police are now in possession of the post-mortem report and that the crown is now ready.
Wilson was subsequently remanded.
The allegations against Wilson are that on November 23 last year, the body of Charles Patterson was taken from a pit latrine in Old Harbour Bay, where both the complainant and the accused lived.
It was in a state of decomposition and it was later revealed that Wilson, who worked at the Old Harbour Police Station as a janitor, had had a dispute with Patterson. She is accused of using a piece of board to beat him in the head, killing him and later dumping the body.
She is represented by attorney- at-law Peter Champagnie, who was not present in court.
