Fabian Dawkins - File
Jamaica striker Fabian Dawkins has been traded from the Atlanta Silverbacks to Montreal Impact in the United Soccer League (USL) in a two-year deal.
Dawkins, who celebrated his 26th birthday yesterday, welcomed the move but said he still has his eyes open for a move to Europe.
"They (Montreal) are the biggest organisation in the USL," said Dawkins on local radio yesterday.
"I'm still hoping I can land one of those nice contracts in Europe but for the time being I'm going to hold on to what I've got and work hard at it and do my best," he added.
Several Jamaican players have played at Montreal, including Onandi Lowe and Kevin 'Pele' Wilson.
Dawkins will join the club on March 15 and his first game will be on April 21 against his former team, Atlanta.
