Rasbert Turner, Freelance Writer

spanish town

A man who stole more than $1million worth of goods from several houses in the Kitson Town and Longville Park communities, was sentenced to a total of four years hard labour for housebreaking and unlawful possession of property.

He is Damian Buckal of Bendon district in St. Catherine. Buckal was taken into custody by the Guanomoa Vale Police Station on charges of unlawful possession of property, following a raid conducted in Bendon on December 10.

Several household articles such as beds, fans, amplifiers, sheet sets and even a cage of birds were recovered during the operation.

Several persons came forward and identified the items. He was sentenced to three years hard labour for housebreaking and larceny plus one year hard labour for unlawful possession of property. The sentences will run consecutively meaning that Buckal will have to do all four years.
