Six love

Dear Pastor,

I have been having man problems. It's as if I cannot have a relationship with one guy instead of six. I have tried to avoid them but I just can't. Some of them are even starting to turn against me and calling me horrible names like 'stinkingand bitch'.

I am so ashamed to go out because I can't face the trauma. What should I do?

T. B., Canada

Dear T. B.,

No woman can go to bed with many men and it is known and escape the condemnation of other women and the very men with whom she has gone to bed. Not even prostitutes will suffer the condemnation that she would have to endure. A prostitute sells her body and everyone knows that. You are just allowing whosoever will come to you to use you as if you cannot keep your legs closed.

Yes, there are women who are known to be everybody's thing. Every brother can get 'a piece' and the men talk among themselves at work, in the bars, around the domino table and wherever they meet. They are not vexed with each other for going to the same women. Those who did not go are encouraged to go and they laugh about it. Such women don't belong to anybody special, and you have found yourself in that category.

I am sorry that these men have no mercy on you and because of your lifestyle you can't face the public in peace. You have made mistakes but I believe it is not too late for you to change. You will not be able to do it on your own. God will have to help you. You need to come to realise that you need spiritual help, so I want you to pray about your problem and read your Bible and go to church. Drop all the guys because they are making a fool of you. If you were to come to know the Lord as your Saviour, many of these men will see a change in you and back off. The very people in your district who condemn you, will learn to respect you. But there must be a transformation in your life and the people must see it. May I also suggest that for a start you read St. John's Gospel chapter 4.

Pastor.
