Amid All the drama and criticisms, the public voted Beenie Man and D'Angel as the best celebrity hook-up for 2006.

The couple were widely criticised for their relationship, mainly because of the fact that D'Angel is the ex-girlfriend of Bounty Killer, Beenie's lyrical rival for more than a decade.

The couple were elated to know that the public could see past all the drama, however, and vote them as the best celebrity hook up for 2006.

D'Angel, real name Michelle Downer, says, "I am honoured for the main fact that we have been through a lot in terms of people criticising us and we came out against all odds, held on to the love that we had for each other and pursued everything that we had planned to do. So I am happy that people finally recognise that we are really in love and it's real."

She also added, "I just want them to know that, separate and apart from us being married, we are entertainers same way and we are still here to please the fans, dis year."

Beenie Man says, "Is always good to know that the public is with us, cause wi always do everything for the public - the people dem appreci-love it, an we appreci-love it seh the people vote we as Best Celebrity hook-up.
