It's too long

Dear Pastor,

I am wondering if long distance relationships can actually work. I'm attending college in Kingston and my girlfriend is attending school in the country. I really want to marry her in the future and I know she feels the same way. I would like you to give me some advice on how to make the relationship work.

C. G., Clarendon, Jamaica

Dear C.G.,

Imagine, you consider living in Kingston and your girlfriend living in rural Jamaica as long distance relationship. What would you like, to be able to see her 24/7?

These are days when almost everyone has a cellphone. You can communicate by phone and you can see each other when you are on breaks from school.

If you are a wise man, you would focus on your studies and not be worried about whether or not your relationship will work.

Pastor
