The twins Coleen (Tasha) and Carolyn (Sasha) Bish have shared a life of love for each other. This was seen in the interview where they sat together and gave loving tributes to their 19 years of togetherness.

The twins were born in Pusey District, Point Hill, St. Catherine, in a home delivery. Both attended Point Hill Junior High and Jonathan Grant High School.

Tasha is the older of the two, but it was Sasha who did most of the talking and displayed the leadership role. She thinks that Tasha is a loving person and admires her sister's smile. Of course, she was quick to point out that her twin has her bad ways "like not listening to good advice."

Tasha adores her sister and thinks she is a generous person. Despite the fact that it is she who now has a child, she thinks Sasha is the one who loves the company of men.

The girls are now separated. Tasha lives in Duxes, St. Catherine, while Sasha now resides in Spanish Town, but they are still very close as it was Sasha who came home for them to do the interview together.

Sasha loves dancing, netball and athletics, while Tasha enjoys looking after her baby and loves to read. She says she eats a lot as opposed to her sister who is the slimmer of the two. They laughed when they told the story of their birth. They said their mom did not know she was carrying twins as she was very small and it came as a surprise when Sasha popped out.

Share emotions

Like typical twins, they say they share emotions for one another. "We can feel each other's pain," they said. An example was when Tasha was having her baby. Sasha said she felt all the pain of childbirth. Also, when one became sick, the other was also sick by the following day.

Both ladies say they would like to do nursing and Tasha and her sister are doing subjects at The Point Hill Diagnostic Centre and Burmar Computer Institute respectively, to enhance their goals. Both say they have a natural love for the profession.

The girls say they love their parents, Deloris Wynter-McCarthy and Wilfred Bish, equally, and very much. They describe them as hard working.

Sasha, was also more jovial during the interview, and her friends say she is the troublemaker and is the more mischievous of the two. Tasha, on the other hand, says she loves to talk but has her quiet times.

The twins say they were more alike when they were younger. "We used to fight for clothes and shoes and everything our family gave us," they said laughing. They dressed similarly and played tricks on their friends who found it difficult to pinpoint who was who.

In fact, a close friend, Andrene Douglas, remembered one of the twins outsmarting her as a child. She said one of the girls told her she was having sex but to this day she does not know which one to reprimand. "But they are great kids," she said with a smile.

The girls have remained close as the years go by. This could be seen in the fact that they were having dinner together at Andrene's house when THE STAR Life and Times arrived. While they both spoke, Tasha often took her cue from her younger sister in what was a pleasant interview.
