In a separate incident, a man was killed by police in an alleged shoot-out between lawmen and gunmen in Grants Pen, Kingston 8, yesterday.

The deceased who is yet to be identified, is of a dark complexion, slim build, approximately 30 years of age, and about 175 centimetres in height.

Police reports state that about 2:15 a.m., a police team was on an operation in the Grants Pen community when they encountered a group of heavily armed men on Shortwood Lane. The men opened fire on the police, who took evasive action and returned fire.
