Dear Pastor,
Greetings to you and all yours. I am a bit confused with the different beliefs of Baptist versus Seventh-day Adventist. Seventh- day Adventists believe it is wrong to worship on Sundays and eat pork, shrimps, and lobster and so on. Can you please shed some light on this if you can? Is this mentioned anywhere in the bible?
I went to service of a Seventh -day crusade and the pastor there said some crucial words about pastors and people who worship on Sundays. He said that they would burn in hell because it's wrong and they are not keeping the Sabbath and so on.
If you can refer me to some verses in the Bible regarding anything of this nature I would be happy. May God continue to bless you and give you strength to go on helping others.

Dear S.R.,
It is known that the Seventh- day Adventists insist that one must keep the seventh day as Sabbath and to do anything to the contrary is to commit sin.
There are those of us who consider the Lord Jesus Christ as our Sabbath and we are not tied to any particular day in which we may worship our God.
It is not my habit to condemn any preacher who feels that he has authority to condemn others who do not agree with his interpretation of Scripture.
I do not know anywhere in the Bible that says that a man will go to hell if he doesn't keep Saturday as the Sabbath. I have never seen in the Bible that a man/woman will burn in hell if he/she eats certain meats. I believe that one should eat healthy and I believe that it is important that one embarrasses the Lord Jesus as His Saviour and Lord.
The Bible says that salvation is a gift of God through the Lord Jesus and it is given to every one who is born again. That is what Jesus told Nicodemus, who was a Sabbath Keeper. Kindly read John chapter 3. May I also suggest that you read John chapter 1: 11-13. These verses show that a man is saved by receiving Christ as his Saviour and Lord.
I have many good Seventh Day Adventist friends. I differ with them on the Sabbath. They know where I stand and I know where they stand. It is unnecessary to argue over the Sabbath Day. Keeping the Sabbath does not bring peace of mind or give salvation to anyone. Jesus gives to every born again sinner, peace and eternal life.
