Mayor goes 'Grinch' for Christmas

Desmond McKenzie, mayor of Kingston, says that the Kingston and St. Andrew Corporation will be ensuring that all promoters and places of amusement abide by municipal regulations during this Christmas season.

"We will be publishing a list of the events that have been approved every Thursday in the press and those events which are not included will be subject to the sanctions allowed under the regulations," Mayor McKenzie said.

He added that a list of unauthorised events and places of amusement will be sent to the police and National Solid Waste Management Authority so that action can be taken against promoters and business owners.

Events and venues for which the KSAC says no Amusement Licence has been granted.
