THE EDITOR, Sir:
I guess that if one should take a close look at The Falmouth Public Hospital, it would be discovered that facility has many needs. However, a superficial look revealed to me that:
1. A connecting covering from the maternity ward to the female surgical ward is urgently needed, and the pavement between the children's ward and female surgical ward needs to be resurfaced.
2. The female surgical and children's ward needs some mason work and/or a little painting. Also some flowers are needed in the spaces provided.
3. The grass surrounding all the wards needs to be properly maintained. The mosquito and sandfly population increases drastically when the grass is left unattended for too long.
4. Proper signs are needed throughout the hospital. The cartridge paper signs are not good enough.
5. The hospital needs an intercom system.
