Court to rule on woman's death

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer

The St. Catherine North Traffic Department says they sent a file to the clerk of court in Spanish Town for his consideration after a 19-year-old woman was killed by a motor car during an attack by her baby father.

Reports are that about noon last Friday, Sashana Peters of Irish Pen in Spanish Town, was talking to a male friend who was in a car. She was leaning on the driver's door when her child's father came up, got angry and started to fight her.

Police say the driver of the motor car panicked as he too was attacked by the child's father.

In the driver's attempt to drive off the vehicle, Peters was run over by the rear of the motor car. She died on the spot.

Sergeant Obourne Fearon said that although the young lady died, there was no independent witness. the file was sent off to see if anyone is responsible for Peters death.
