Do you have an idea?
Do you want to interact with people around the world?
Do you have something on your mind that you want to talk about?
Well, if you answered yes to any of the above questions, then
creating a web log, I mean blog, is the way to go. A blog is basically like your regular journal where your thoughts and ideas are
captured. You would normally find that blogs allow for people to
comment on news, politics or any other subject matter.
Web blogs have become extremely popular over the years, where a typical blog may provide information with text, images, web pages and links to other blogs.
On the Internet, a large percentage of blogs are in the text format. However, there are some with
photographs and video. Blogs are a great way to express yourself to the world.
Now, how will you get started on your blogging? The answer is easy, you just need the right tool to do the job. Blogs can be hosted by dedicated blog-hosting
services, or they can be run using blog software, such as Blogger, WordPress or even LiveJournal.
Components
A blog entry typically consists of the following:
Title, the main title, or headline of the post.
Body, main content of the post.
Permalink, the URL of the full, individual article.
Post date, date and time the post was published.
A blog entry optionally includes the following:
Comments
Categories (or tags) -
subjects that the entry discusses.
Now that you have the basics about web blogging, go on
your merry way and blog-away. Look at this example, http://
