Westchester's favourites to win senior netball league

Westchester Netball club are favourites to win the Portmore Sports/Youth Clubs Association Fruta Senior Netball League tomorrow against the improving Hellshire United at Bridgeport High school, match time 3:30 p.m.

The last time the two met, Hellshire United lost by a point (25-24) to Westchester, the only undefeated team in the competition, in a match played in fading light.

In the curtain raiser at 2:30 p.m., Silverstone 'A' and Progressive Strikers clash in the Island Grill Intermediate League. Silverstone 'A' defeated Progressive Strikers in the preliminaries and a close match is expected.

There will be a presentation of trophies and awards immediately after the finals.

Meanwhile, in matches played in last Sunday's Intermediate League, Silverstone 'A' booked their spot in the final with a 27-26 win against Portsmouth, while Hellshire United rushed past Braeton United 39-26 in Fruta Senior League play.
