Flamingo flies through

Despite going down 1-0 to Hellshire United, 'In the Valley', Hellshire, Flamingo, on Tuesday, still went through to the second round of the St. Catherine Co-operative Credit Union Happy Sutherland Knockout competition 2-1 on aggregate on the back of a 2-0 first leg win. In that game at home, Colin Green and Oneil Mcloud (penalty) scored.

The lone goal of the second game of the home-and-away series, came in the 17th minute of play off the boot of Nicholas Smith.

Flamingo, a Division one team, will now turn their focus to a second round match against Major League team Central Links, at a date to be confirmed.

In another game Travellers beat Thunderbolt 1-0 to advance 2-1 on aggregate. They will meet Major League team Albion today at Cheesefield. Both second round games are do-or-die matches.
