WESTERN BUREAU:
A man who was accused of stabbing the mother of his four children during an argument, was yesterday granted bail under the condition that he moves out of the home they share.
When Nalton Edwards appeared before the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court, the complainant told Resident Magistrate Winsome Henry that she did not want the matter to go any further but she needed a restraining order against Edwards.
Although Edwards was not pleaded, he insisted that the complainant had attacked him with a broken bottle and his hand was injured during a struggle.

The accused man was offered bail in the sum of $20,000. The case will again be mentioned on December 21, pending the decision of the Family Court in regards to a restraining order against him.
The court learnt that on November 18, the complainant was in her room sleeping when Edwards woke her up and started accusing her of having an affair with one of her co-workers.
The woman allegedly went into her children's room when it is claimed that Edwards began shoving her. As she attempted to leave the house, it is said that Edwards used a tin of milk to hit her causing a wound. He is also alleged to have used a broken bottle to stab her on her right arm.
Allegations are that the woman ran towards her brother's house with Edwards in pursuit. She was allegedly rescued by a neighbour, who blocked her brother's doorway to keep the accused from entering the house.
Edwards was arrested three days later.
