Many movie fans around the world await the release of the new James Bond movie this month titled Casino Royale, Ian Fleming's landmark first novel.

Many Bond fans also remember Welsh actor, the late Desmond Llewelyn, who played the phenomenal character Q, the gadget master from Q Branch.

Every appearance in the Bond films was only a few minutes, but each made a lasting impression on many generations of young people around the world.

From the Aston Martin DB5 'gadget-laden' briefcase, underwater breathing device and exploding parker pens, the list is endless.

Desmond Llewelyn, gone but not forgotten.
