A 26-year-old woman accused of stabbing a Bridgeport High School student, was granted bail in the sum of $100,000, when she appeared in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court, charged with felonious wounding.
The woman, Janice Morris, is said to have committed the offence at about 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 31.
The court learned that the evening shift of the Bridgeport High School had concluded, when Morris and the female student allegedly got into an argument, which developed into a fight. During the fight the student was stabbed several times.
When Morris appeared before RM Lorna Errar Gayle on Tuesday, she pleaded not guilty. She is booked to return to court on December 5, to answer to the charge.
