Reward offered for information in locating missing lady

The family of missing 70-year-old Daphne Wharp is offering a $30,000 reward to anyone with information that can help in locating her.

The former resident of a nursing home went missing in early September after a grille on the premises was left open by construction workers. Though the family has received several calls from persons claiming to have seen Miss Wharp, she has yet to be found.

The elderly woman suffers from Alzheimer's disease, is slightly hard of hearing and can barely speak. Her family is worried that she may be abused because of her physical limitations, and are pleading for those with information to come forward.

When last seen, Wharp was wearing a pink dress and blue and yellow flip flops. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Daphne Wharp can call Marsha Lindsay at 748-1827, 324-7011 or the Duhaney Park Police.
