At first it seemed as though a lot of ink would have been saved but, in the end, there were not enough posters to go around.
After a slow start, fans, young and old, rushed Da'Ville at Music Mart last week Wednesday to have the STAR's artiste of the month ink photographs.
There was never a moment when Da'Ville rested his pen as they just kept coming. It was a hot afternoon, but that did not keep the fans away. "Me and my wife are big fans and she is going to love this. Real good singer," said Josh, a fan from as far as Chicago, United States of America. He made it his duty to purchase a Da'Ville album and have the entertainer sign it.
On her mind
Another visitor from the Atlanta would not leave Da'Ville alone. She knew the song Always On My Mind but seeing the artiste must have been the limelight of her day. She said she is a pastor, a nurse and a bank manager but, in the end, she can add Da'Ville's biggest fan to her résumé. She not only took pictures for herself, but what appeared to be her entire extended family and stuck around for the entire session.
In recent months, the monthly autograph signing took place at a more convenient venue but fans still managed to find Da'Ville at Music Mart last Wednesday. "A know they always do over York, but I didn't mind coming all the way over here. Trust me, when mi tell yuh seh mi love him," said Marsha-Lee, another devout fan.
Da'Ville was obviously under pressure as he wiped the sweat from his face and periodically took large breaths.
There is no doubt that Da'Ville's name is now a household name.
