Da'Ville had the opportunity to interact with his fans via the internet and telephone when he visited the Gleaner's North Street offices recently.

It was hardly 5 p.m. (log on time) when fans from all over the world signed into the Go-Local Jamaica gleaner online chat room to chat with Da'Ville, the Star Artiste for the month of October.

Da'Ville, who was clearly no stranger to a computer and keyboard, typed his responses, as he laughed in amazement at some of the questions.

One question in particular, caught Da'Ville's attention, as he beckoned to his friend before typing his response.

The question: "So as an entertainer, how do you manage? Girls a rush yu lef an right? Yu can guh a road in peace or yu haffi sen smaddy guh a shop?"

Da'Ville's response: lol, sometimes me a fi do dat, but me is a simple yute yu zi me so me go any where me feel like when me ready."

Even though Da'Ville had been speaking with his fans via the internet, it was almost as if they were next to him in the room, as modern technology allowed fans to actually see and hear Da'Ville while he typed his responses to them over the internet.

The fans also maximised on this window of opportunity, as one fan typed this request of Da'Ville. "Can you take off your hat so that I can see your face properly, give me smile please?"

Da'Ville even treated his fans by playing some of his songs in the background, while singing along in some instances.

But outside of being entertained by the singer, fans showed much love and appreciation for the work that Da'Ville had been doing, while others simply 'big him up' or complemented his "smooth voice" and image.

As for the telephone chat segment, although at the start, the phone calls were few and far apart, the vibe was good. The most common requests that fans made, was that Da'Ville sing a piece of his current number one hit, On My Mind.

However, this constant repetition did not seem to impact too much on Da'Ville or his voice, as he was only too happy for the opportunity to please his fans.

"Mi really glad fi di opportunity still and it help fi show mi wa a gwaan out deh wid mi fan base. Give thanks to all a di people dem weh call in, it gi mi a extra boost, yuh know wa a mean," Da'Ville said.

As for the online chat, Da'Ville said he could not forget one comment that a fan made.

"The one weh stand out is one girl weh seh she feel like seh mi music soon breed ar, mi neva hear da one deh before," he commented.
