Black River and St. Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) will clash in a crucial top-of-the-table Zone E decider in the ISSA/Pepsi/JN daCosta Cup while Munro will take on cellar-dwellers Maggotty tomorrow.
Black River and STETHS are tied on 19 points and a win for either team will see them take sole leadership of the zone and improve their chances of reaching the next round of the competition.
On Saturday, Munro surprised their arch-rival STETHS, with a 1-0 victory at Munro, while Black River took advantage of a weak Lacovia side, beating them 3-0 at Lacovia.
Playing before a large partisan crowd, Munro clinched the all-important goal in the 89th minute when skipper Andre Williams ran onto a superb cross from Peter Mindley and scored a perfect volley past goalkeeper Aaron Pillock.
With the many-times champions Munro having two easy games remaining against Maggotty and Newell, who they beat 6-0 and 5-0 respectively in their first meetings, Munro's coach Peter Powell believes his team is on track to reach the next stage.
"We are going all out for everything and we are not taking any team lightly, so we are hoping for the best," he said.
STETHS, who have scored a total of 36 goals so far this season, will be without their key midfielder Akeil 'AK' Williams when they face Black River. Williams has been suspended for a game after he was given marching orders in Saturday's match.
