Criminal communication

Rasbert Turner, Staff Reporter

Spanish Town, St. Catherine

A St. Catherine man who was found communicating with a prisoner at the Spanish Town Court House was fined $3,000 or 10 days in prison for the offence when he appeared in court yesterday.

The court learnt that about 2:30 p.m., on October 5, Rupert Daley, was seen by a detective talking to an inmate in the lock-up. He was subsequently taken into custody and formally charged with communicating with a prisoner.

Senior RM Lorna Errar Gayle warned the accused man to keep the peace and told him that talking to prisoners was an unlawful act.
