How did you get started in the business? "I used to sing at church on the choir, wasn't a Christian but my father was a pastor."

What has been your greatest challenge in the business yet? "Getting my talent out there, getting the audience to see and hear what Marlon Binns has to offer."

What have you been up to lately? "I'm doing more recordings with Bobby Digital from Digital One Production and I've recently returned from Brooklyn where I performed at The Wild Palm Club alongside Bounty Killer, Mavado and Aidonia. I've also been working with Beres Hammond and performed at Saddle to the East in St. Thomas nearly three weeks ago."

Do you look up to any specific artiste? "Definitely, Beres Hammond, Bounty Killer, Bob Marley, Marcia Griffiths and Alaine."

Are you happy with the way things are going for your career right now? "Yeah man, mi happy so far."

Anything you'd like to change about it? "To be able to be more exposed and known to the public."

What are your future plans? "Want to put together an album by next year winter."

Do you have any advice for young artistes coming up? "It's a struggle, if yuh don't plan to struggle then yuh won't make it in the business so be prepared for it. You will also find a lot of obstacles but you can turn it into opportunities and always be open for criticism because that's what will help you to become better."
