Trinidad and Tobago's Brian Harding and home star Wesley Henry, locked in a tight battle at the top of Jamaica's jockeys' standings, resume their battle for the 2006 riders' championship at Caymanas Park today.

They start the day joint leaders on 56 wins and both have busy schedules on the nine-race mid-week programme.

Harding, the reigning champion jockey, mounts seven horses on the card and Henry has eight rides.

After an uncharacteristic slump from mid-July to early August when he went four of five race days without a win and lost the jockeys' lead, Harding bounced back with five wins in the last three race days.

He scored three wins last Saturday to regain a share of the lead.

With four months remaining in the season, former champion riders Charles Hussey and Trevor Simpson are also within striking distance of the leaders and they begin Wednesday's meet joint third on 49 wins.
