Defending champions Naggo Head and Rodwood earned the right to meet each other in the final of the Pines Imaging Centre/Keith Gentles Portmore U-17 Football League after similar 1-0 semi-final victories over Portsmouth and Wanderers respectively at the Passagefort playing field last Thursday.

Naggo Head overcame Portsmouth 1-0 in the first semi-final through a 46th minute strike by Adrian King. King, in a solo effort, broke inside the Portsmouth penalty area and slotted home past Portsmouth goalkeeper Jermaine Campbell which gave the custodian no chance.

In the second semi-final at the venue, Rodwood avenged their semi-final loss to Wanderers last year with a hard fought 1-0 win.

The final is set for next Sunday August 20, 2006, at the Passagefort playing field.
