Dancehall artiste Rodney 'Bounty Killer' Pryce and Julian Rambally, his child's mother were sent to get counselling at the Dispute Resolution Foundation when they appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Friday.
The trial was to start but when Pryce appeared in court, Presiding Resident Magistrate Desiree Alleyne sent the matter to the DRF. Pryce is to return to court on October 4.
Pryce is charged with two counts of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm after he allegedly hit Rambally.
Allegations are that on May 23 at approximately 1:45 am, Rambally, the mother of Pryce's 5-year-old son was passing the 7th Avenue Plaza in St. Andrew on her way to a party when Pryce stopped her and an argument began.

The complainant was allegedly punched in the face several times, dragged some distance away and her head slammed into a wall. He allegedly drove her to her apartment despite her requests to be taken to the hospital.
She was later taken by her friends to the Kingston Public Hospital for treatment. Pryce was subsequently arrested, charged and granted $20,000 station bail.
Another incident is alleged to have also taken place at the deejay's Kingston apartment in July last year and was reported. However, he was not charged until June 7 when he appeared in court. The artiste pleaded not guilty to the charges.
At the last court appearance, the court was told that Pryce was adhering to the conditions of his bail and is paying child support .
