"These allegations are far too gross," said Resident Magistrate Wilson Smith after hearing claims that a 39-year-old man had sexually assaulted his daughter and two of his nieces, one of whom may be carrying his child.
The man, who has been in custody since early July is charged with incest, rape and indecent assault arising from the allegations. He was remanded on Wednesday when the case was mentioned in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court.
It is alleged that in March this year, the man had sex with his 12-year-old niece.
COPS ALERTED
The child, who admitted to having sex with her boyfriend three days later subsequently told an adult relative, who in turn alerted the police.
The court heard that the accused man has been sexually assaulting the girls, aged 9, 11 and 12, since 2003.
It is also alleged that the accused forced one of the complainants to perform oral sex on him while the other child was allegedly touched on her private area.
In an application for bail, the accused'd attorney alluded to the fact that the pregnant child had admitted to having sex with her boyfriend, and that she may very well be pregnant for him and not his client.
However, after hearing the allegations RM Smith said he could not consider bail, as the 'allegations were too gross.'
Another court date was set for August 23 for the case to be mentioned and for an outstanding medical examination report and other statements to be presented.
