STAR APOLOGY
On August 2, 2006, The Star carried a lead story, '14 men rape girl', and in that story we incorrectly stated that Emmanuel Dell was charged with rape.

We wish to state unequivocally that we are satisfied that Emmanuel Dell was not one of the 14 persons involved in the alleged gang rape of a 13-year-old and that he was not charged with rape.

Mr. Dell has been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice, malicious destruction of property, assaulting police and resisting arrest. We apologise for any inconvenience that this error may have caused.
