Body found in Sandy Gully

THE UNIDENTIFIED BODY of a male believed to be about 30 years old was found on Tuesday in the Sandy Gully in St. Andrew.

The man who was dressed in a pair of blue jeans and multi-coloured underpants was about 5 feet 9 inches or 1.72 metres tall, medium build and of a dark complexion.

The police report that residents found the corpse in the Sandy Gully behind Auburn Terrace in Patrick City about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

An on the spot post-mortem revealed that death was caused from gunshot wounds to the head, throat, back, shoulders and abdomen. In addition, the victim's throat was slashed.

The St. Andrew South Police are investigating.
