Health department carries out enforcement exercise

BY ARTHUR GREEN, STAR Writer

ST THOMAS

THE ST. THOMAS HEALTH Department will be carrying out its enforcement exercise starting Wednesday, July 19. The local body will be targeting persons who are operating their food handling establishment without certification. Under the Food and Sanitation Order Act persons failing to apply for a licence to operate or not meeting renewal compliance are liable.

According to Chief Public Health Inspector Mr. Charles Lewis, no efforts will be speared and it is hoped that persons who have not yet complied will use this notice period to do so.
