Bounty robbed - Deejay's home 'cleaned' of more than $500,000

BY FABIAN LEDGISTER, Staff Reporter

BOUNTY KILLER

POPULAR DEEJAY, BOUNTY Killer, was recently robbed of local and foreign currency amounting to more than $650,000.

The 'Warlord,' whose real name is Rodney Pryce, 33, is alleged to have been robbed by his domestic helper, who was employed at his apartment in Constant Spring road, St. Andrew.

The accused helper, 30-year-old Karen Frances, of Glengoffe district, St. Catherine, was subsequently arrested and charged, after she was brought in on a warrant.

Reports are that between 9:00 a.m. on May 17, and 4:00 p.m. on May 18, 2006, the money was removed from a black duffle bag located in the complainant's bedroom.

It was discovered that US $9,000 and JA $50,000 were missing from the bag. The matter was reported to police by Pryce at about 3:00 p.m. on May 17.

A warrant was prepared, and Frances was located and arrested. She was eventually granted station bail, and released.

The stolen funds have still not been recovered and Pryce's helper will appear before the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court on Wednesday, where her fate will be decided.
