'ORIENTATION - THE ULTIMATE school uniform party', staged at Weekenz Bistro and Bar, Constant Spring Road, lived up to its hype and the expectations of the hundreds of patrons who attended.

The party was packed as in previous years and was by no means short of vibes and creative musical selection. However, the real deal at this year's staging, as in times past, was the way many of the female patrons dressed. Many were clad in close fitting skirts that shun the knees and rest delightfully above them, much to the glee of many male patrons.

One could guess from several metres away that a hype party was in session, because of the number of motor vehicles parked along the roads in the vicinity of the venue. Upon approaching the venue, the vibes and energy pouring out from inside could be felt and at minutes to midnight the queue was growing by the second.

Upon entering the venue a crazy party atmosphere filled with the smell of marijuana, drinking, and dancing revealed itself. It was a party fanatic's heaven.

The party was in full swing from minutes to midnight with the likes of ZJ Liquid spinning several dancehall favourites throughout the night. As the night went on the energy escalated, especially with the introduction of Razz and Biggy, who along with Supa Hype, had the patrons dancing.

At minutes after 2 a.m. many patrons were still pouring in and with them lots of artistes, many of whom were just passing through. However there were many who just had to get their hands on the microphone.

Like many parties and stage shows the performance segment started orderly, however it ended with several artistes onstage grabbing the microphone. Showtime started at minutes after 3 a.m. with an uproar as Aidonia took the stage, the noise grew louder when Bounty Killer emerged from the shadows shouting "Bullet, bullet, bullet!!" At this time the noise inside the packed venue was deafening, and just when it was about to subside Busy Signal and later Wayne Marshall took the stage much to the delight of the patrons who roared and screamed as the Deejays spat lyrics.

The crowd onstage then grew at an alarming pace with the likes of Turbulence, Einstein, Leftside and Esco, and several other artistes taking the stage. Elephant Man, Twins of Twins, Mr. Lexx and Anthony B were a few of the artistes in the crowd that just stood back and enjoyed the proceedings.

The party reached its climax and with the departure of the artistes and their entourage the patrons soon began to trickle out. At approximately 3:45 a.m. the selectors regained control of the party and several patrons stayed behind to soak up the very last drop of vibes, while others made their way to the exit.
