The Kingston Eastern police are seeking the public's help in catching the killer of six-year-old Shanika Anderson.
Anderson was found dead on May 1 last year in an open lot behind Manley Meadows in east Kingston. Her body was found one day after she was lured from the Coronation Market by a man who promised to buy her patties.
Her family, who searched for her, contacted the police after they failed to find her. Residents who were in the area at the time found her body and called the police. Shanika was found lying on her back with wounds to her vagina, upper back and head. A used condom and a bloody shirt were also found on the scene. Since then, three suspects have been held but they were released after the DNA failed to match.
The Kingston Eastern police say any information at this time will be welcomed as they search for clues in relation to the incident.
