5 picked up in 'Old Capital'

BY RASBERT TURNER, STAR reporter

SPANISH TOWN

THE SPANISH TOWN police have picked up several men following the shooting death of Corporal Lincoln Parker.

From as early as 5 a.m. the police parties took to the streets of the Old Capital in search of these men.

Detective Sergeant Fitz Richards, said that the police would be leaving no stone unturned in dealing with the crime situation in Spanish Town and that several new strategies would be employed to deal with this problem.

The division has recently been given a new commander, Harry Daley, who took over from Superintendent Kenneth Wade, who was transferred to the Mobile Reserve.
