Meet the Cato twins

BY ANTHONY MINOTT, STAR WRITER

Twin brothers Rodane (left) and Rodean Cato. - ANTHONY MINOTT

TWIN BROTHERS RODANE and Rodean Cato are described by their mother Sydoney McKay and dad Rohan Cato as the spice in their life especially when they switch personalities.

"Sometimes they switch attitudes, sometimes Rodean is very quiet and don't give any trouble, and Rodane is the one that gives the trouble. Another time Rodene gives a world of trouble and Rodane is kept quiet," Miss McKay noted.

Rodane and Rodean attend the Hellshire Basic School. Rodane was born at 10:28 a.m. on November 25, 2003, and his brother Rodean came two minutes later. The delivery was not without complications as Rodane was coming out feet first and doctors had to do a C-section.

THE STAR Life and Times caught up with the family, who resides in Hellshire Park, recently, at a football match in Portmore.

OUR HERO

Rohan is a striker on the Hellshire United football team.

When he plays matches his fiancée Sydoney and his two boys are on the sideline cheering on their hero.

Sydoney said apart from reversing roles, the boys were fond of KFC and ate a lot of fruits. Sydoney said what she loved about her sons was how they stood up for each other. She said both boys came to each other's rescue if either one was being bothered.

She is also impressed with Rodean, the younger twin, who spends a lot of time with her. "Rodean is very smart. He can say his ABC and knows the days of the week, and he knows everybody's name in the family."

Sydoney said she loved her two boys with all her heart. "I think that they are a blessing. Sometimes you are sad and they come up to you and give you a kiss and it makes me feel so good," she said.

Rohan says that the elder of the two, Rodane, sticks to him, and he loves how he's athletic and predicts that one day he will be a sports star.
