Elderly woman shot and injured

BY ANALEE BERNARD, Star Writer

BLACK RIVER

A 68-YEAR-OLD housewife, Estreanna Jones of Cuffes Pen District in Lacovia, St. Elizabeth, was shot and injured at her home on Wednesday morning.

It is reported that the elderly woman was sweeping up her yard when she heard about four explosions. She then felt something hit her hand and realised it was bleeding.

She ran out to the road where she saw a police unit along the main road. The police took her to the Black River Hospital where she was treated and released. The Lacovia police are continuing their investigation.
