THE DENHAM TOWn Police have launched investigations into a double murder that occurred in Arnett Gardens, St. Andrew on Saturday night.
The dead men have been identified as Moses Grant, 35, of Chambers Pen, Hanover and his 28-year-old nephew, Chris Grant, of Majesty Gardens, Kingston 11.
Police reports say that at about 8:45 a.m., both deceased men and two others were in a car on their way to a car dealership. Upon reaching the intersection of Maxfield Avenue and Gem Road, the car was reportedly intercepted by two gunmen. They were taken to Benin Close in Arnett Gardens where the Grants were robbed of more than $300,000 and shot. The other men were reportedly bound and left at a premises on Sunlight Street, Kingston 13.
One of the men managed to escape and reported the matter to the police. When the police went to the premises on Sunlight Street, the other man was not seen.
Bloodstains were seen at the location and it is believed that the other man was killed.
Police are currently questioning the man who escaped.
