Star Hangar's - A look at the style of Morgan Heritage

THE STAR GOT to rummage through the wardrobe of Morgan Heritage, our artiste of the month. We know you want to know what they have hidden in those drawers. Today we kick things off with Mr. Mojo and Gramps of the group.

In the world of entertainment where image and fashion are greatly emphasised, Gramps has a unique view.

"I don't want people to focus on my outfit," he said, "I want them to listen to my music. People say an artiste should dress up, but it's not so much about image, it's about the music," he says.

He describes the group's sense of style as "very T-shirt and jeans and kinda punk rockish. In the winter, we wear hoodies and when it's a private/executive show, we might wear jackets. Our style is very militant, but still fun, not too serious."

Even though the group must essentially have one 'feel', each member still has his unique style.

Gramps' brother, Mr. Mojo's style is more eccentric. "I like clothes that are decent yet different, I don't like to look like everybody else."

So what wouldn't this curious shopper wear?

"A weird hat? No I'd wear a weird hat ... Ah, I wouldn't wear a skirt," he laughed.

Gramps on the other hand, is more laid-back yet stylish.

STAR: What do you think is a must have item in every man's closet?

Gramps: I think every man must have a pair of Timberlands. Those things are made from quality leather.

STAR: Whose sense of style do you most admire?

Gramps: Turbulence, Sizzla and Capleton. Bwoy, Capleton have some shoes deh!

STAR: What would we never find in your closet?

Gramps: Uh .... panties? No, let's see, what would you never find? Plaid. Bad, ugly, checkered looking plaid, you'd never see me in that.
