The new guy
Dear Pastor,
I have been with my boyfriend since high school and we are now in college. His stepmother doesn't want him to be with me. I am not sure for what reason. I have started working and I met a nice guy on the job. He says he likes me too and I think he is very sexy. But I am supposed to be with my boyfriend although the feeling is not there for him anymore. My mind is constantly on the new guy. Pastor, what should I do? C. M., New York, U.S.A. Dear C. M., I suggest that you tell your boyfriend how you are feeling about the relationship these days. Tell him also about the new guy you met at your work place. That would prepare him for the worst. I must warn you however, that your boyfriend has not done you anything wrong and feelings come and go. One cannot rely on one's feelings in any relationship. This new guy may turn you on and one of these days he may get you to go to bed with him, but you may end up being used. Stick with your old boyfriend and try to work out your problems with the help of a family counsellor. Pastor
