'Bun' him yes!

'S PEOPLE POLL

Macka Diamond - FILE

SO, YOU THINK you're the only one for your girl, huh? She wants no one but you, you're the love of her life. Well, these poll results may wake you up and get you thinking . It seems that women know how to play the field just as well as men. But how many men do you think a woman 'juggles' at once? We asked:

How many men do you think the average Jamaican woman has at any one time?

Well, two men is the average that most people said a Jamaican woman can handle. Perhaps this thinking stems from the belief that women want different men for different purposes. One for emotional and sexual needs and one for financial needs.

Some men will blame this on the many popular songs that encourage women to 'bun him', the ones that chant 'money oh' and that tell men, 'tek con'. But is it fair to blame musicians? Do they encourage such behaviour or are women just naturally 'greedy'?

Popular entertainer and 'women's advocate', Macka Diamond, sees it differently. She feels that most women have more than one man to secure themselves. She told THE STAR, "Women just want to secure themselves. They know that their men are keeping women with them, so they say if this man is hurting me, I can do it too. Dem jus' tired a di stress, dem tired fi cry and worry seh dem man not coming home. They want to know that if something goes wrong, they have another companion."

The poll was conducted between January 28-29 by Johnson Survey Research Limited.

Sample size: 1,008 residents

Age of sample: 16 and older

Sampling error: +/- 3.1 % .
