Vegas win-a-date

Cocunut Curried Shrimp Kabob. - ROSEMARY PARKINSON

THE WOMEN HAVE been writing in about how they plan to wine and dine THE STAR's Artiste of the Month, Mr. Vegas. We want to narrow the field down to those you think will do the better job. Help Vegas choose who he will take on a date and call in your votes on who you think should go on the date with him. The persons with the most votes will meet the artiste and get a chance to put their plan into effect.

My idea of a great meal is one that is cooked with the right spices and herbs, a touch of Grandma old favourites in modern style.

Appetiser: Fish or vegetable broth

Main Course: A choice of gungo rice served with sweet and sour fish or chicken or just steamed fish served with mouth watering crackers and okra.

Beverage choices: Tropical fruit punch or carrot juice.

Dessert: Chocolate cake and white wine or banana cake with red wine.

Now the climate must be right. Depending on the time of day if it is for lunchtime then I would prefer somewhere that is quiet that would allow a good conversation background music, maybe Charley Pride or Sam Cooke followed by a more uptempo song because I love to dance and have fun. If it is evening I would go for a candle lit dinner with just the right music. Again I will go for Sam Cooke; his songs are classic but have a little upbeat tempo so at any given time you can pause dinner and have a dance. I can be quite a flexer so I would prefer if he is not uptight. Last but not least I will leave him with something to remember me by. I am not a Whitney Houston but I can try to be a Celine Dion. I love to sing.
