CHAMPIONS PORTMORE UNITED last night booted Harbour View out of the Red Stripe Champions Cup All-Island knockout in a thrilling 3-2 quarter-final encounter at the National Stadium.

Waterhouse, Arnett and Tivoli Gardens also qualified for the semi-finals.

In the first match at the National Stadium, Arnett Gardens got the better of Rivoli in a 5-2 goalfeast.

Rivoli opened the scoring in the 18th after Julian McLeish dropped a regulation catch at the feet of Kemar Mills and an empty net.

The goals came flowing afterward as Arnett would not go away. Kouri Pickersgill slammed home a brilliant free-kick in the 36th minute of play and Arnett went ahead in the 39th through Kwame Richardson.

Rivoli's Patrick Beech got in on the action in the 49th when Derrick Planter put him through on goal, making it 2-2.

Richardson wasn't done though and he outpaced his markers to restore Arnett's lead in the 61st.

Arnett then ran away with the affair as the tiring Rivoli unit surged for the equaliser.

Substitute Gregg Taylor in the 80th and Cornel Chin-Sue in the 85th added goals to make the game comfortable for the victors.

In the feature match, Harbour View got the ball rolling through a well-directed Lovel Palmer header.

They wouldn't keep their lead for long as Anthony Bennett, for the second time in as many games, beat goalkeeper Leighton Murray with a power house to his near post.

Portmore would go up 2-1 as Kemeel Wolfe scrambled home a goal.

Things got out of hand for the stars of the east as Wolry Wolfe also came to the party, banging home a free-kick.

Harbour View made it close in the end when Fabian Taylor got one back from another header.

Waterhouse made their way to the final four with a 4-2 aggregate win over Reno after their second 2-1 win.

Craig 'Warlord White opened the scoring for Waterhouse in the 32nd minute when he pounced on a rebound.

Weston Forrest put the matter at rest for Waterhouse when he converted a 59th minute penalty.

Ricardo Scott pulled one back for Reno in the 63rd from a goal mouth melèe.

At Maverley, the hosts were facing a deficit of six goals after their thumping at the Edward Seaga Stadium two weeks ago.

A dramatic comeback was not to happen after Tivoli came from behind to win 3-2, giving them a 9-2 aggregate win.

Tito Jackson's 39th minute goal gave the home team faint hope but it was cancelled by Christopher Nicholas' 43rd minute effort.

From there on, the game was merely of academic interest and became even more so when Nicholas McCreath added Tivoli's second in the 48th.

Tyrone Crossfield sought to make the game interesting when he levelled the scores in the 59th.

However, Tivoli were determined not to end without winning both legs as Carlton Young, who was responsible for four of Tivoli's goals in the first-leg, added Tivoli's third seconds later.
