Long distant lust

Dear Pastor,

I have a problem. I think I am in love with a guy, but the only thing is, he lives in Jamaica and I live in Germany. We were together but he could not be honest with me. I am 15 years old and so is he. It has been seven months since we broke up but we are still friends and we are thinking about getting back together. I am afraid, but I think I am in love with him.

I need your advice on what to do. Should I go back to him or should we stay as friends. I really love him. Please tell me what to do.

Dear M. W.,

A 15 year old is not able to differentiate love from infatuation and lust. I do believe that you have a strong desire to be with this young man and that you admire him very much.

Your body may be saying that you need a man in your life, but believe me psychologically and emotionally, you are not ready, for a love life. As you get older you will mature. So, hear me now, think of this fellow as a social friend and nothing more.
