ANTHONY MINOTT - A female player hits the table while her male counterparts look on during the Jamaica Domino Federation Portmore/St Catherine Domino League Knockout pairs one-day fund-raising rally at the Garveymeade Sports Club on Sunday.
WITH TEAMS IN Zone 'B' of the Portmore/St. Catherine domino league having completed their preliminary fixture, the focus tomorrow is on Zone 'A' of the competition where several teams are yet to complete their fixture.
Six matches are scheduled in the zone, but missing in action will be unbeaten defending champions Caribbean Classic who have completed their fixture with maximum 60 points from 12 matches.
While teams in Zone 'A' are required to play 12 matches in the preliminary round, those in Zone 'B' play 11, hence the early end to their slate of matches.
Forte International, the only other unbeaten team in the competition, has amassed the maximum 55 points to top Zone 'B' ahead of Hurricane (49), Right Stuff (45) and Eradication (42).
QUALIFIERS
All four have advanced from Zone 'B' to Division One of the competition and will contest the quarter finals with the four teams advancing from Zone 'A' on March 26. The Zone 'A' qualifiers are Caribbean Classic, Correctional Services, St. Joseph and Marleymount.

The Division Two quarter finals are scheduled for Sunday, March 19. The Division two final is set for April 23, and the Division one final on Sunday, April 30 at a venue to be announced.
Last Sunday, Carl Pryce and Brian Gordon from Frazer's Whip defeated their opponents from Mighty Destroyer 10-4 in the final of the pairs' championship to capture the $6,500 cash prize. Caribbean Classic was third of the 38 pairs which contested the event at Garveymeade Sports Club.
